D-GLAZE
Automatic system for the preparation, control and maintenance of glazes.
To maintain consistency in shades, it is also very important to always keep the base glaze under control, which is applied before digital decoration. Until now this was done with empirical methods and often based solely on the experience and manual skills of line personnel. To overcome these problems, Smac has launched the D-Glaze model on the market, an automatic system designed for controlling water-based ceramic suspensions (glazes, engobes and crystallines) that require dilution and adjustment to a specific density before being used by any glazing machine. Ideal for preparing and feeding base glazes for subsequent digital decorations with inkjet printers, D-Glaze allows you to always have the desired quantity of product available and to maintain constant density thanks to automatic control devices with continuous cycle and automatic recirculation. The machine is designed to adapt to existing equipment in the glazing line, thus avoiding the need to purchase other new equipment dedicated to the device. OPERATING PRINCIPLE:
At the start of the cycle, the machine fills the vat to which it is connected with the glaze to be diluted, taking it from the storage tank by controlling the appropriate pump. At the end of the filling procedure, the system begins to dilute the product with water through appropriate addition/mixing cycles until the density set by the operator is reached. Once the required density is achieved, the product is ready to be sent to the feed vat of the user machine. Through a level probe installed on the user’s vat, the quantity of product contained is monitored and when this drops below the minimum quantity, D-Glaze automatically sends the glaze at the correct density until the maximum set quantity is reached. The glaze inside the vat connected to D-Glaze is kept under continuous control by the electronic densimeter and appropriately corrected if the density falls outside the set tolerance range. The density is reduced by adding water or increased by adding glaze taken from the storage tank. The cycle continues with this logic until complete emptying, after which it starts again from the beginning.

OPTIONAL:
Device for automatic viscosity control of glazes, engobes, and crystallines. The device is integrated into D-Glaze and continuously monitors the product’s viscosity value. The value will be determined in Centistokes (cSt)/Centipoise (cP) and displayed on the control panel. If this value deviates from the Set Point beyond the set tolerances, V-Check Evolution will alert the operator to the anomaly through audible and visual alarms.
